Dickinson Webber Co., Inc. was founded in 1984 by Edward J. Ferrari to provide Actuarial, Consulting, and Third Party Administrative Services to Multi-Employer Trust Funds. Through the years, the company experienced excellent growth and maintained client relationships with forty-five (45) such Funds. In 2004, the assets of Dickinson Webber Co., Inc. were transferred to Dickinson Group, LLC. Albert J. Alimena is the sole owner of this new entity. All former Dickinson Webber employees continue to be employed by Dickinson Group, LLC. All client relationships continue to be serviced by Dickinson Group, LLC.

Mr. Alimena has twenty-five (25) years of experience in the healthcare field, including fifteen (15) years as an Administrator of a larger Multi-Employer Health Fund in the New York area, and most recently as Director of TPA Operations for a large regional Preferred Provider Organization.

Mr. Alimena is assisted by Jeanne DeMetropolis, holder of a current New York State Insurance Department license as an Accident & Health Claims Adjuster. Ms. DeMetropolis had ten (10) years experience as a Technical Consultant for Health Claims with CIGNA prior to joining the firm. In her role as Senior Business Analyst, Ms. DeMetropolis provides the organization with technical expertise in the areas of Plan Installation, System Development and Claim Administration.

 


Josephine McDougall supports Mr. Alimena and the staff of Dickinson Group in the capacity of Project Manager. Ms. McDougall has over twenty (20) years of experience in the Employee Benefit Administration Industry, with primary responsibilities for Claim Administration and System Development. During her career, she has been employed by large national Insurance Companies as well as local and national Third Party Administrators and has held the positions of Sr. Business Analyst, Project Manager, Director of Operations, Director of System Development and most recently as Vice President of Systems and Operations. Ms. McDougall works closely with both the executive management team and functional areas of the company to develop, document and communicate efficient business practices.

 


Jack Jenkins oversees the daily operations of the Customer Service Call Center. Mr. Jenkins offers a wealth of Call Center and Managed Health Care experience. In his 13 years of employment at a large National Preferred Provider Organization, Mr. Jenkins has held various positions, including Supervisor of Claims, Manager of PPO Customer Service, Manager of PPO Provider Service and Director of Operational Support. In his capacity as Manager of Customer Service, he will allocate professional services and communications to Clients, Members and Providers. Mr. Jenkins holds a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from Long Island University-CW Post Campus.

 


Dickinson Group is further supported by Nicole Sievert in her capacity as Client Service Representative. Ms. Sievert acts as liaison to our Client contacts as well as Members and Providers who require technical assistance. During the past 10 years, Ms. Sievert has held various positions while employed at a large national Preferred Provider Organization, most recently as Supervisor of the Medical/Surgical Department.
