Michael L. Frank

Michael L. Frank is a health & life actuary with more than thirty (30) years of experience, including executive management experience in managed care, insurance, reinsurance, and employee benefits consulting.

Mr. Frank is a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, and Associate, International Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Member of the Caribbean Actuarial Association as well as having memberships in several other leading professional organizations.

Mr. Frank has provided financial and management consulting to various organizations including insurance companies, investment bankers, reinsurers, HMOs, multiemployer health & welfare funds, managed care organizations, hospitals, risk-bearing healthcare provider groups, disease management, third-party administrators, accounting firms, actuarial consulting firms, brokerage firms, private equity funds, and other organizations servicing the insurance/reinsurance industry in the US and internationally. He has prepared rate filings, reserve opinions and health  economics/provider contracting consulting for a variety of insurance companies, HMOs and reinsurers operating in the life, annuity, accident, health, and special risk.

Mr. Frank served as an adjunct professor for Columbia University’s Master of Science program in Actuarial Science and serves on an advisory board for the University of Michigan actuarial program. He also served as President of the Actuarial Society of Greater New York (ASNY) and served as an instructor and co-author for the Society of Actuaries LEARN program teaching reinsurance to insurance regulators nationwide as well as internationally. He regularly
publishes articles and serves as a featured speaker for various actuarial, financial, insurance, education, regulatory, reinsurance and healthcare industry meetings.

Mr. Frank is originally from the New York metropolitan area and graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics.
